OWRC Priorities for State Policy & Regulatory Engagement
Partner with other organizations in supporting or opposing legislation impacting agricultural water rights and district management
Engage with legislators and state agencies as needed in support or opposition of their concepts that impact OWRC members
Oppose legislation that would negatively impact OWRC members
Support natural resource agency budget components that benefit OWRC members, including funding to support collaborative water supply, conservation, and efficiency projects
Develop and coordinate educational opportunities to help raise awareness about state level water issues and irrigated agriculture
